Bringing Major Perpetrators of Human Rights Abuses to Justice
HRLF was the first to sue former Chinese President Jiang Zemin and the 610 Office in U.S. federal court. As a result of that initial lawsuit, similar suits were brought in dozens of countries. HRLF assisted in these suits, providing the necessary legal documents and evidence in preparation for litigation. HRLF played a greater role in several of these suits, most notably those in Spain and Athens.
